Dear Schools & Partners
We are always happy to talk through our offer below and how we can help you in more detail.
Every school and set of circumstances is unique.
This page contains some information around our services, the Forest School ethos and what to expect.
Outdoor Learning for Schools & Community Partners
-

During the School Day
We run Forest & Beach School sessions during the school day, tailored to age group, setting and learning priorities.
Sessions are carefully structured but child-led, supporting:
Emotional wellbeing and self-regulation
Communication, teamwork and confidence
Physical development and risk awareness
Learning through real-world, outdoor experiences
Sessions can be linked to:
The Northern Ireland Curriculum
The World Around Us
Personal Development & Mutual Understanding
Wellbeing and SEN support priorities
-

After-School Programmes & Holiday Camps
We deliver Forest School programmes beyond the classroom, giving children time to decompress, play and reconnect after the school day — or during holidays.
These programmes:
Support pupil wellbeing and behaviour
Provide high-quality enrichment
Are especially valuable for children who struggle in traditional settings
We can:
Deliver directly on your site
Work in partnership with community organisations
Support funded or targeted programmes where appropriate
-

Forest School Setup & Support
For schools interested in developing their own Forest School provision, we offer practical, experienced support.
This includes:
Site visits and outdoor space reviews
Advice on safe, sustainable Forest School setup
Programme planning and progression
Staff support and training guidance
This service is ideal for schools who:
Want to build capacity internally
Are at early planning stage
Need reassurance around safety and feasibility
Qualified Instructors
All instructors are Level 3 Forest School Leader qualified. Some also have teaching experience and qualifications.
We come with insurance, safeguarding, food hygiene qualifications and there is always a First Aider on site (16-hour Outdoor First Aid course).

A learner-centred pedagogical approach
“Learners are all: equal, unique and valuable; competent to explore & discover; entitled to experience appropriate risk and challenge; entitled to choose, and to initiate and drive their own learning and development; entitled to experience regular success; entitled to develop positive relationships with themselves and other people; [and] entitled to develop a strong, positive relationship with their natural world.”
— Forest School Association
“Forest School is a long-term process of frequent and regular sessions in a woodland or natural environment, rather than a one-off visit. Planning, adaptation, observations and reviewing are integral elements of Forest School.”
— The Forest School Association
